An interactive workshop designed to explore the concepts of Positive Peace and Mediation. This workshop marks the culmination of a pilot project aimed at promoting dialogue and conflict transformation through practical skills in peacebuilding and mediation in Eastern Europe. We welcome all participants interested in peacebuilding, including community leaders, humanitarian workers, and individuals working with refugees or minority communities

Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop designed to explore the concepts of Positive Peace and Mediation, tailored to the needs of indigenous and minority communities in Eastern Europe. This workshop marks the culmination of a pilot project aimed at promoting dialogue and conflict transformation through practical skills in peacebuilding and mediation.

Participants will be introduced to the eight pillars of Positive Peace as defined by the Institute for Economics and Peace, alongside an introduction to systems thinking. Through group exercises and case studies, participants will brainstorm how to implement peace initiatives in their own communities.

In the second half of the workshop, the focus will shift to mediation skills, where participants will engage in role-playing exercises to practice mediation techniques and conflict resolution strategies. The goal is to strengthen community capacity for dealing with conflict and fostering social cohesion through mediation.
